A Falcon is in the 2016 California All State Concert Band!
Danika has been a student in OUSD since the 5th grade when her family moved from Washington State. She attended Stuart Mesa Elementary School for the 5th and 6th grade, and came to Jefferson as a 7th grader. Danika started playing the flute in the 5th grade in Washington. As an 8th grader, she is the section leader for the flute section in the Jefferson Advanced Band, and also joined the Cadet Orchestra on the Cello. She was promoted to the Advanced Orchestra at the semester break. She also plays the clarinet and piano. In addition to her great musical skills, Danika participates in the Jefferson Cross Country and Track and Field Team. Danika has two older brothers: Isaiah is a graduate of OHS (class of 2015, and a Airman in the Air Force) and Tyler, currently a 10th grader at OHS. Her dad is a Chief in the US Navy, and she gets her musical aptitude from her mother. She will be in San Jose in February to participate in the All State Conference! Congratulations, Danika!
