Parent Institute for Quality Education Meets Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. in the MPR

It is a great pleasure to announce that the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) is coming to Jefferson.                                                                                                                       PIQE is now holding its Nine-Week Parent Involvement Program.  Meetings will be held in the MPR or in F2 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. every Thursday until March 15th. Childcare is provided.

Middle school represents a big transition for parents as well as students, and PIQE addresses six of the most common issues that you and your student will face during this important period in your lives.

These workshops are offered at no cost to parents or guardians.

The program will began on Thursday, January 12th and meet every Thursday until March 15th.

Childcare will be provided.

We look forward to your participation!

Looking for a way to support teachers at JMS?

Check out Jefferson Middle School's page on Donor's Choose On this website, you can donate a little or a lot to help fund projects written by innovative teachers looking to do great things for kids!  Check it out!  Every dollar helps!

For more information on Donor's Choose , go to their webpage and see all the great things they are doing to help teachers help students!

In a recent survey of elementary and middle-school teachers, 71% reported spending an average of $462 per year out of their own pocket on classroom supplies and learning tools.* Teacher Wish List  was created to thank teachers for their generosity. (How many other jobs require employees to pay for supplies?) This service makes it even easier for parents to continue to help teachers.
